Over the coming weeks, the School of Education in association with the Centre for Childhood and Human Development, Geary Institute, continues its seminar series  on large scale/quantitative studies in relation to children and young people.

All Seminars take place in the School of Education, Room 0.01;  4.00 – 4.50pm

  • October 7th: ‘School engagement among primary school children – findings from the GUI 9 year old cohort’ (Dr Merike Darmody, ESRI)

  • November 4th: ‘Linguistic development of young children in Ireland – an overview of findings from the GUI infant cohort’ (Dr Merike Darmody,  ESRI)
  • November 11th: ‘Does policy matter for Poverty and Prosperity? A comparative analysis of children’s lives in the modern large family’; (Dr Megan Curran, School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice)
  • November 18th: ‘Cash poor; Time poor? Maternal employment and child outcomes in the UK, Ireland and Denmark’ (Dr Patricia Kielty; Institute for Public health/School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice)
